Another step towards climate-neutral flying – Free Hanseatic City of Bremen becomes aireg member
aireg and its members are very glad to welcome Freie Hansestadt Bremen, represented by the Senatorin für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Europa, as their new member. The state, having the highest space travel employment density in Germany, underlines with this decision, the significant contribution that research and implementation of renewable aviation fuel has, for air travel.
Melanie Form, member of the board and managing director of aireg e.V., said: “We are delighted and thankful, that, with the northern german state Bremen, aireg has gained a new member as well as an important agent and partner for future groundbreaking initiatives. With the hydrogen-based strategy of the northern german states put into action and collaboration, can we collectively reach the ambitious climate change objectives of the Paris Agreement and facilitate the availability of sustainable synthetic fuels on the market. Only then can we effectively and on a sustainable level, decrease emissions!”
On the accession of the state of Bremen, the Senator for Economics, Labor and Europe states: “Aerospace and regenerative energies are important driving factors for Bremen ́s innovation.
