BP Europa SE becomes aireg member
aireg and its members are delighted to announce and welcome BP Europa SE as the most recent member of the initiative.
BP is a globally leading energy company and with Air BP one of the world’s leading suppliers of aviation fuel products and services; fueling over 6000 flights a day at around 850 locations.
For BP, the continued development and commercialization of sustainable aviation fuel is central to helping its customers meet the IATA target of a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050, compared to 2005 levels.
Chairman of the aireg board, Siegfried Knecht, made the following statement: “We are extremely happy that, as a leading aviation fuel supplier, BP has allowed us to welcome them as our newest member. Working closely together, we will be able to pursue our shared goal of promoting the development and commercialization of sustainable aviation fuels and thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We are committed to advancing a cleaner and more sustainable aviation.”
