Berlin and Stuttgart, February 7, 2023
The international management consultancy Horváth joined aireg – Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany – on February 1, 2023. The initiative bundles commitment and know-how from industry, business and science in the German aviation – with the aim of advancing production and technologies related to the use of sustainable energy sources for the aviation industry.

„We are convinced that all players along the value chain must work together if the energy transition and raw material shift is also to succeed in aviation, which accounts for a significant share of nationwide emissions and will continue to be dependent on liquid energy sources for the foreseeable future,” says Peter Hartl, Associate Partner and expert for sustainability and ’Green Transformation’ at Horváth. “Therefore, in line with our ecosystem strategy, we support the cross-industry initiative aireg, which sets itself ambitious goals and actively addresses challenges.”

As an international management consultancy, Horváth supports companies in the energy, refinery, transport and aviation sectors, among others, in decarbonization and holistic ’Green Transformation’, for example by using hydrogen and renewable carbon. Together with its hydrogen consultancy evety and the partner companies TÜV Süd and OGE, Horváth brings in both the business management perspective and the strategic and operational implementation experience, concepts and tools to the initiative. “With our in-depth expertise in the areas of sustainable business models, sustainability management and sustainability optimization of cross-industry value chains, we want to combine approaches and dovetail ecological with economic goals,” says Peter Hartl.

“We are delighted to welcome Horváth, an internationally connected consultancy with extensive know-how from numerous green transformation projects and many years of industry experience, as a new aireg member”, says Melanie Form, member of the aireg board and Managing Director. “Together we can achieve our goal of sustainably reducing greenhouse gas emissions from aviation and make a significant and lasting contribution to climate protection in the aviation sector.”
