IATA and aireg establish work group on biojet financing
IATA and aireg who have entered into a strategic partnership in late 2013, have discussed the first steps of their cooperation in Geneva on Monday, February 3rd. An essential component should be to intensify the efforts on market introduction of alternative aviation fuels.
A working group will examine whether and how the market-based measures (MBM) to be developed by ICAO can be used to reduce the current price gap. During the meeting, which was also attended by IATA DG Tony Tyler, it was agreed that further efforts are needed to unlock the potential of alternative aviation fuels.
