The Hydrogen Technology Conference & Expo is the world’s largest conference and exhibition dedicated exclusively to advanced technologies for the hydrogen and fuel cell industry. It will take place from 27 to 28 September 2023 at the Congress Centrum Bremen and in two halls of MESSE BREMEN. At this event, representatives of the entire hydrogen value chain will come together to work on the development of innovative solutions for low-carbon hydrogen production. The experts will also deal with efficient storage and distribution as well as a variety of stationary and mobile applications.

aireg will participate on both days at the exhibition stand of one of our members, the Senator for Economy, Ports and Transformation of the Federal State of Bremen. There are two main approaches being pursued for the propulsion of hydrogen aircraft: The use of hydrogen in modified gas turbines and in fuel cells. The incorporation in gas turbines potentially requires less developmental work compared to the use in fuel cells, possibly enabling a timely use of hydrogen in aviation. Nonetheless, the utilization of hydrogen in fuel cells could further reduce the overall GHG emissions. However, this requires a further development of fuel cell technology. Green hydrogen is also needed in the production of SAF in some conversion pathways, like for example the power-to-liquid conversion pathway.
