aireg goes ILA2022

26. June 2022

Berlin, 21st June 2022

Sustainability is a key focus of this year’s International Air Show (ILA) Berlin from 22nd to 26th June. Therefore, we – the Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany (aireg) cannot miss out on such an important topic. We are represented with a large stand in Hall 4. Here, visitors can expect samples of sustainable aviation fuels, a model of a SAF production facility, an engine and an aircraft model, as well as a wide range of information on the production and use of SAF. On top of that, two panel discussions are facilitated by aireg: On June 22nd, at 16:00 the first panel will discuss “Hydrogen – non drop in fuel for aviation” with Luca Bedon (Avio Aero, GE), Dominic Härle (Fraunhofer IMWS), Josef Kallo (H2Fly), Stefan Kaufmann (Hydrogen Commissioner of the German Government), Sabine Klauke (Airbus), Uwe Lauber (MAN), Barnaby Law (MTU Aero Engines), Alan Newby (Rolls Royce), Philippe Peccard (Linde), Gerrit Rexhausen (Lufthansa Technik) hosted by Melanie Form (aireg). On June 23rd, at 10:30 the second panel will cover “SAF – drop in fuel for aviation” with Manfred Aigner (DLR), Anna Christmann (Federal Government’s Coordinator for German Aerospace), Michael Haid (EDL Anlagenbau), Mirko Hornung (Bauhaus Luftfahrt), Holger Kreetz (Uniper), Thorsten Lange (Neste), Harry Lehmann (PtX Lab Lausitz), Andreas Mündel (Deutsche Post DHL Group), Helge Sachs (Sasol ecoFT) hosted by Timo Bovi (PTX Alliance). Both panels take place at the ILA Stage Future Lab in Hall 4.

We are very much looking forward to welcome you at ILA2022 and to discuss the future of sustainable aviation with you!
