Berlin, January 08, 2024 – RWE AG, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, is joining the aviation initiative aireg (Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany).
Melanie Form, Member of the aireg Board and Managing Director, says about joining: “We are delighted that RWE AG has become a member of aireg. We welcome RWE’s commitment to sustainable fuels, as this will enable us to jointly drive forward the development and production of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and to defossilise aviation.”

aireg – Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e.V. was founded in 2011 as an association of companies and organisations from industry, research and science. As a non-profit initiative, aireg is committed to the availability and use of renewable energies in aviation in order to achieve the ambitious CO₂ reduction targets of the aviation industry.
